Versace: Istanbul has more Fashion Energy than Milan: A full range of the energy and capacity resources required for fashion can be found in Turkey, said Dr. Santo Versace, the owner of Versace, the Italian fashion brand widely known across the globe.

Upon his arrival at Istanbul this week, Versace, surprised at seeing a different city after an eight year interval, compared the current state of Turkey with that of Italy’s 10 to 15 years ago. With its 1,900 branches in Turkey, Versace's boss expressed his disillusionment at the energy level of Milan or Rome compared with Istanbul: "There is a huge amount of energy in Istanbul to create lines of fashion. Turkey is capable of carry its own energy to European countries without sacrificing its own culture. The level of fashion in Turkey will be the same as that of Italy soon."
